Before M-TV it was hard to see the original music video’s that bands and record companies would produce for promotional use. TV shows preferred ’live’ acts in their studio’s. Hard to believe now but for this exhibition - the first of its kind in The Netherlands - we sometimes literally had to dig deep in the closets of the recordcompanies that were showered with this material they generally could not use anyway. Five screens with seven programs were shown during 3 months and the event became a cultural highlight in the blossoming Rotterdam cultural life in the early 1980’s.
